'Mark has played at LuSh! on several occasions now and always delivers... Definately one to watch' Col Hamilton, LuSh....
For many years now, Belfast boy Mark has been a part of and contributed to the NI dance scene. Whether it was the idealistic young upstart and his refusal to kow-tow to the older hands who had a stranglehold on things, forcing them to sit up and take notice of what he could do; earning himself the right to be amongst the contenders for opportunities that were all to rare in those days... Or the older, wiser(!) head that now flies the trance flag for Northern Ireland with his own venture Dirty Secret, the North's premier night for that style of music... Or the budding producer, with releases on the two biggest labels in the world for trance, Mark Burton is working hard to establish a reputation for quality and cutting edge trance, whether its through his own music, his sets or the DJs he books.
Getting his first break with a residency at Kudos (held in the Parliament, and at the time the all-nighter of choice for many Belfast clubbers) when he was just 19, it was after a Keymix workshop that Mark really began to emerge as one of the bright young talents in the NI scene, going on to secure gigs in most of the NI clubs that matter; The Coach, Soi, The Arena, the infamous Network club, The Matrix and the mighty Lush! In Portrush. Not forgetting CREDO – before its demise Mark regularly played to the late-night dance show's many thousands of listeners on Citybeat and Mid 106fm, earning himself a residency after just one appearance. Late 2008 Mark moved into the running of his own night, the underground phenomenon 'Dirty Secret' in Belfast, which has played host to some of the freshest and most in demend names in trance. Previous guests have included John Askew, Activa, Agnelli & Nelson, Greg Downey, Simon Patterson and UK/European firsts for Jorn van Deynhoven and Argentina legends Heatbeat.
With influences ranging from Max Graham and Thomas Penton to Armin and Paul van Dyk, he describes his style as ranging from chunky, techy prog right up to driving & uplifting trance. His energetic style is perfectly encapsulated in Armada releases 'Fifth Element'and 'Any Time Existence' big room monsters with focus on melody and impact. 2010 has already seen him close the main room at superclub Lush, standing in for volcano ash victim Sean Tyas and secure an appearance at Planet Love, the highlight of Northern Ireland's clubbing calender. And with releases and remixes forthcoming on Paul van Dyk's Vandit label, the future looks rosy for this talented and focused individual.

Just two short years ago, a DJ/Producer duo named Heatbeat was born out of the ranks of Argentina. But, within such a short time of coming together, the world wouldn’t be ready for the shockwaves created by the pair’s cutting-edge productions and fresh, live DJ performances. Their versatility spans to include both their newest tracks as well as mash-ups and bootlegs of current hits, which they concoct in their studio during extensive, pre-set preparation. Backed by long-standing experience with traditional instruments like the piano, guitar and drums, today, their résumé of international acclaim and support is longer than most would care to read.
One would only need to look in the proverbial record bins of the world’s top DJs to find their “big-room” tracks waiting for the next packed venue, like the hunter waiting to spring on his prey.
